In-Person After School Program
Our In-Person After School program is for PreK through 2nd grade children who already have some previous exposure to Mandarin or Spanish. These children spend 2 – 3 hours per day receiving language exposure and direct instruction that focuses on reading and writing and creating art in the target language. Depending upon their level, their curriculum parallels the PreK, Kindergarten, First or Second grade curriculum for native speakers. Pick-up from English school may be available for some children.
Schedule
Children arrive between 2:15 and 3pm and depart between 4:15 and 6. Upon arrival they have snack and social time with peers. This is followed by target language reading and writing classes, designed to make a game out of everything, so learning is always fun. Next, it’s free and organized play indoors or outdoors with peers and teachers. Parents pick-up from outdoors or indoors, depending upon the weather.
